I am very happy to introduce you to International Chess Grandmaster Karel Van Der Weide from The Netherlands. Karel has kindly agreed to do a video lecture for us here at BetterYourChess.com. In this video he discusses the finer points of the Sicilian Sveshnikov main line with 9.Bxf6 and 14.Re1. Thank you Karel!

About Karel: Karel van der Weide (1973) is a retired Chess Grandmaster. For ten years he was among the top professional players in The Netherlands, won big international tournaments (Prague, Sevilla, Bad Wiessee) and defended Dutch pride succesfully at European Championships (runner-up 2006, Liverpool). For years he has offered his services to the Dutch Chess Federation as a youth trainer and even coach of the Dutch ladies team.
