Help me understand this please. After ?. rg4 be7, ?. hxg5 …, I did not see the video discuss the move of taking the g5 pawn with the bishop by Black (? hxg5. bxg5 instead of rxg5). I can’t find a win for White after that move of taking the g5 pawn back with the bishop. What am I missing?
You are absolutely right!
It is a pity that I forgot to mention that line.
White is also winning in that line, again with a beautiful quiet move:
1. Rg4 Be7 2. hxg5+ Bxg5 3. Rh1!! (with the threat of mate in two starting
with Kg2+ or Kg3+) Rf7 (to make space for Black’s king) 4. Kg3+ Kg7 5. Rxg5+ winning the bishop and the game.
