How To Lose In Chess #3: Small Mistakes Add Up…

Welcome to yet another well succeeded video lecture if I may say so myself. In this video I discuss one of my losses from the viewpoint of the mistakes I made.

There is normally a technical and psychological side to these moments. When you make a number of them there is the risk that they start to add up.

I hope you will have some “Aha-moments” and recognize what is going on. That way you can avoid the typical mistakes that are made on the club and tournament level.

  1. Wonderful analysis and explanation of so many moves! The subtle inaccuracies that can combine to lead to a loss are clearly shown. The point of not having an active plan while one’s opponent does have one is well made. “The White knight could not find a stable home.” Very good pun! Black’s strategy is well-presented and systematically explained. This is an excellent video. Not hxg7, but Bg8! I’m happy to say that I did see this. Time pressure is a huge factor, something to be aware of all throughout the game.
